LibKey for Library Staff
In this session, library staff will meet LibKey, a linking technology new to the CCLC libraries. Staff will learn the ins and outs of how LibKey uses article-level intelligence to connect users to library content using precise and informed linking. Staff will also receive a primer on end-user tools, such as LibKey Nomad, the browser extension that connects users to their library’s full-text on the open web, and BrowZine, a highly visual platform that showcases the library’s scholarly e-journals collection in an easy-to-browse format. At the end of session, library staff will have the expertise to use LibKey in helping all users access the research they need as well as assist in library workflows. Marketing and promotional strategies will also be covered. Below, are the three dates and times available for this training:

LibKey Advanced for ERM
This advanced implementation session, intended for Electronic Resources Management librarians and staff, goes into greater detail on how LibKey can be used in a variety of contexts to assist users in connecting to the library’s scholarly e-journal content. We will review how to set up and position LibKey in your library’s resources and web services, including databases and public searches, and out on the open web via our browser extension, LibKey Nomad. We’ll also explore website-based integrations that can embed the power of LibKey anywhere on the library’s site. At the end of this session, ERM staff will be able to fully implement LibKey throughout the library’s services. Below, are the three dates and times available for this training:
